Seminar
The University of Calgary’s School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape (SAPL) is inviting industry, policy makers, partners, faculty, students, and the wider University of Calgary community, to a seminar exploring solar neighborhoods.
International speakers from Australia, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Denmark and Sweden will be presenting alongside national speakers from various governmental research agencies and Canadian industry.
Presenters will share academic and professional knowledge of sustainable community design through several case studies. In addition, they will introduce and demonstrate the use of modeling tools in the design process to achieve specific performance goals, at urban and buildings levels.
The seminar is funded by a SSHRC connection grant and in-kind contributions from Lund University (Sweden), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Trondheim, Norway), and SAPL (University of Calgary).
